Power dressing from the 80s is back. Boss’ autumn/winter 2020 womenswear takes its cues from the fashion house’s signature pieces from the last century.
Inspired by its ad campaigns from the 80s, when voluminous tailoring and vast overcoats dominated, Boss has restyled them in modern silhouettes – as seen in the oversized coats made in various fabrics.
Prints are a constant focus of retro style. In the collection, an oversized coat, regular-fit jacket and trousers, all in checked stretch jersey, are on trend with the craze for tailored suits.
The billowing volume can also be found in a silk dress with oversized houndstooth print, as well as a foulard-inspired striped crepe georgette top and an asymmetric plisse skirt.
Leather is big this autumn and the material is used in blazers, pants and dresses with different constructions to create an 80s vibe.
